Show Me Nutrition

Ms. Patricia A. Jones, Extension Program Assistant for Pearl River County, presented a series of 7 lessons ,“Show Me Nutrition – Choices and Challenges,” to Mrs. Kay’s health students. Some of the activities and handouts included: physical activities for school and home, buying fruits and vegetables in season, teen guide to buying and cooking meat, fantastic fruit tricks you can do at home,  eating disorders, and mealtime juggling acts.
 
Students received Try- It- At- Home Recipes.  As a closing activity Ms. Pat made a healthy “Snack Mix” for the students and served it with 100% juice.  Thank you Ms. Pat!
