PHS Cheerleaders Grab 3rd in State

On December 13, 2014, the Poplarville High School Cheerleaders travelled to Jackson, Mississippi for the MHSAA State Cheerleading Competition. The cheerleaders were in the medium varsity division, competing against squads such as Amory, Brookhaven, De Soto Central, St. Martin, and Petal along with several other teams.

Out of 11 squads, Poplarville Cheerleaders placed 3rd in the state, behind De Soto Central and St. Martin. This is a huge accomplishment and honor, as no Poplarville cheer squad has ever achieved such a prestigious ranking. Congratulations to our girls for their hard work and dedication, and also to Coach Sarah Smith for leading the team to this victory!
