Tennis News 03/23

Between making up games lost due to the rainy weather the week before and the sickness of many players, the tennis team had a bad week.  In the matches played against Sumrall Kaitlyn Barber won handily. The second district matches of the year were played against Bay. Kaitlyn again won her singles match. Also, winning for the Hornets were Christian Couvillion and Christopher Castaneda.  To close out the week, the Hornets played another district match against Vancleave. Kaitlyn lost in a close match, but is currently ranked second in the district. The Hornets had to forfeit two courts due to the illness of players. Christian Couvillion and Christopher Castaneda are the third ranked boys’ doubles team. Next week promises to be just as busy with three matches.
