Hornets Victorious Over the Panthers

The Poplarville Hornets’ Baseball Team was victorious over the Lumberton Panthers Monday night at the Hive, with a score of 5-3.  Parker Wells and Tate Shaw pitched the first 5 innings of the game.  Dawson Brown pitched the 6th and 7th innings and closed out the game.

The score was tied 1-1 in the third inning.  Poplarville put up four more points in the 4th and 5th innings.  Lumberton scored two runs in the 6th inning.  Cole Dedeaux (Shortstop) had an impressive play in the last inning with an out at home.  Tyson Holston (Center Field) finished the game when he caught the game winning fly ball.

The Hornets will play their first District Game at Sumrall this Thursday, March 18th.
