PHS Choir, ‘One Voice’, Receives High Ratings in State Competition

The PHS Choir received all superior ratings in the District VIII Festival in February of  this year, which qualified them to sing at the MHSAA State contest.  The State Contest was held at Pearl High School on April 21st.  One Voice specializes in harmonizing and sang Festive Alleluia and I Ask For One Day.   The PHS Girls’ SSA group received superior in sight singing and an Excellent Rating in onstage performance (only missing a superior rating by 4 points)!

One Voice also competed in a “Sing with Foreigner” Contest, which was a viewer voted contest.  Mrs. Will claims, “We were also very close in this contest and I am so proud of our choir and the way they have worked this year.  This is a great group!”

Mrs. Andrea Will has been the choir director at Poplarville High School for the past 3 years.  She is bringing back the PHS Show Choir for the 2016-2017 school year.  We are looking forward to what Mrs. Will has in store for our school.
