Important Championship Game Information!!

The Poplarville Hornets will be competing in the 2016 4A State Championship game for the first time in school history. The game will be on Saturday, December 3rd, at 3:00 PM at Davis Wade Stadium on the Mississippi State University campus in Starkville. The address of the stadium is 90 B.S. Hood Road, Mississippi State, MS 39762.

The band will be seated in section 22 through Gate L on the east side of the stadium.

All six championship games, including our game, will be streamed live on the web on the NFHS Network's Mississippi channel. Go to www.misshsaa.tv for live and on demand viewing.

STADIUM PROHIBITS

No video cameras or videotaping will be allowed. Air horns, bullhorns, sirens, vuvuzela horns are not allowed at MHSAA events. Cannons, umbrellas, propane heaters, ice chests, outside food or drink, weapons, alcohol or tobacco, and any items deemed inappropriate, hazardous or unsafe by venue personnel are not allowed in the stadium.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

  • Pre-sale tickets available at the PHS office Tuesday – Friday from 9 AM – 2 PM and Thursday from 5 PM – 7 PM for $14 ($15 at the gate).  Pre-sale ticket purchases are CASH only. Tickets are general admission (no reserved seating) and are good for all games that day. Children 5 and under will be admitted without a ticket.
  • To enjoy the total championship experience, upon arrival each team will be directed to the Team-Walk in the Junction, leading into the stadium. The Hornets will swarm through the Junction at 1:10 PM. Fans and family are encouraged to participate.  
  • PHS will be the visiting team. Fans should sit on the east side of the stadium.
  • Fans may enter at any time during the day.
