PUE Students Get Involved

Ms. Angela Bonner, a Special Education Teacher at Poplarville Upper Elementary, along with students at PUE worked to assist students who were victims from the most recent tornado in the Pine Belt area.  Mr. Willam Payne, Principal at PUE, Dr. Shannon Smith, a member of the administrative team at N.R.Burger Middle School and Ms. Bonner, worked together to develop a list of immediate needs. The students at PUE responded by collecting and donating supplies to the school.  The students collected several boxes of supplies that ranged from pencils and paper to back backs and personal items.
"We know it’s not much," said Ms. Bonner, "but we hope the students learned the value of giving and how to be good citizens."
