Hornets Beat Heidelberg; Look to Homecoming

The Poplarville Hornets traveled to Heidelberg High School Friday Night and came away with a 33-14 victory. Austin Bolton and Roosevelt Raine rushed for a combined 428 yards and 4 touchdowns.  The Hornets are now 5-0 on the season as they head into a bye week.  Poplarville is also gaining recognition in the state as the #1 ranked 4A team and the #7 ranked team overall according to the AP.  The Hornets celebrate homecoming next week hosting the Greene County Wildcats Friday, September 29.  This game also opens the Region 7-4A season for the defending Region and South State Champion Hornets.
